I learned this term in a university film class. It's the "telling of a story" on a set through its design. Now, I can't seem to watch a movie without analyzing the details of the scenes, trying to figure out each intention. I realize I approach scenic landscapes in a similar way. The angles of light, the shapes and shadows, the aspects that nature or man have influenced. There's a story waiting to be revealed. Once you start seeing it, it can't be unseen.
